The Worst Manager in Premier League – Mark Hughes

The Worst Manager in Premier League - Mark HughesOne of unwritten football rules is that one time great player not necessarily need to be a good manager. The most reliable proof for that is – Mark Hughes.
Former Man United star and Wales international simply isn’t competitive for that job because he don’t have a clue about coaching. The fact is that he did nothing with Blackburn Rovers, Manchester City and Fulham, as well with Wales national team, which he managed for five years. Without any respectable results in those teams, he was appointed as manager at Queens Park Rangers in 2012 and at that point we had the idea he’ll ruin this team.
Hughes managed somehow to survive relegation and I’m sure that was not his credit. He proved me right, showing horror form this season, because QPR is lying at the bottom of the table without win. That is the worst start in premier League in club history. They didn’t even win against Southampton at home yesterday and that should be the last game for Mark Hughes at the helm.

Mark Hughes vs Southampton

Queens Park Rangers is a wealthy football club and they did bring some very classy players in a last couple of years like Bobby Zamora, Djibril Cisse, Ji Sung Park, Junior Hoillet and many more and they have expressed ambitions for battling for the European football next term. But that is just an illusion right now, cause they have only 4 points in 12 matches this season.
For all that blame should go to only one person, Hughes, who didn’t manage to create a team from good players. It’s all about individual actions from Taraabt, Cisse or Zamora, all that is far away for pleasing for the eyes. A good manager is supposed to form a solid side with several individuals. Mark doesn’t know how to do that and that’s why he deserves to be sacked for being completelty clueless.
The club owners had a lot of patience with him and now is right time for Welshman to leave, before second half of the season.
There are great managers in the market right now and Harry Redknapp or Rafa Benitez are two of many. In fact one can say that any manager will do better than Hughes with suc a team at disposal. It is only a matter of time that QPR board and owners will react and decide to sack the worst manager in the premier league, Mark Hughes.
