Arsenal have been in torrid form lately having lost three out of last five games, the last two without even scoring a goal. However a fixture against QPR could not have come at the right time for the Gunners to bounce back and regain lost focus and confidence.
QPR are still looking for their first win of the season and currently sit at the bottom of the premier league table. Having signed decent players during the summer transfer window, Mark Hughes has been unable to find a perfect system for his team and Rangers have largely been poor and clueless.
Gunners will have a perfect platform playing at home against a side that has second worst record of scoring and conceding goals this season having only netted 7 times and conceded no less than 17 goals in 8 games. Only Norwich and Wigan have scored less i.e. 6 times and Southampton have conceded more, 24 goals.
The injury list is a matter of concern for Arsenal. Vito Mannone will retain his starting place as both first and second choice keepers Szczesny and Fabianski have not recovered. Other than that Rosicky, Diaby, Chamberlain and Gibbs are still injured and are likely to miss the game against rangers tomorrow.
Manager Wenger has clearly mentioned that Jack Wilshere will not be forced early in the first team still the midfielder has now featured in 2 games for the reserve side and there is a slight possibility that he may well make the bench. Same goes for Sagna who has recovered from injury and has trained but is doubtful to play any part versus QPR.
For Queens Park Rangers, Fabio might return recovering from his hamstring strain but captain Park Ji Sung is doubtful after suffering a knee injury versus the Toffees. Johnson and Dyer are still sidelined with injuries.
Arsenal’s season started so promisingly has suffered a setback with poor results as gunner fans become more and more desperate to challenge the top teams and end their eight year trophy drought. On the other hand Mark Hughes is under immense pressure of losing his job if their horrific form continues. Arsenal could further worsen the situation for him and get that all important kick start win much needed after recent blips.
Sorry Arsenal will remain trophyless this season no doubt
