Injury Blow For United As Kagawa Sidelined for a Month

Injury Blow For Manchester United As Kagawa Sidelined for a MonthManchester United suffer another injury blow as manager Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that Japanese starlet Shinji Kagawa will be out for at least three to four weeks with knee injury.
Ferguson claimed that Kagawa featured in the Champions League fixture against Braga without being fully fit which actually lead to intensify his pain.
Although Kagawa was substituted during the break on Tuesday but the damage had been done and he will be sidelined for a month adding to United’s problems.
Kagawa has played 8 games for the club this season and has found the net twice in the premier league. He now looks set to miss crucial clashes against the likes of Arsenal and European Champions Chelsea who currently sit at the top of the premier league table.
Sir Alex stated:

“It’s a similar (knee) injury to the one Ashley Young had,”
“He’s going to be out for three to four weeks. Playing on with the injury didn’t help the situation for him.”

United fans will be relieved to know that young defenders Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are coming back to full fitness and will feature again soon as Ferguson claimed:

“Smalling is back training on the football side of things. Phil Jones will hopefully start full training a week on Monday.”

The former Borussia Dortmund star might be fit before to feature in the all-important Manchester Derby in December. City are currently level on points with United. With Kagawa out, United may hand his role to Wayne Rooney playing behind the strikers with Carrick, Scholes and Cleverly completing the midfield lineup versus Chelsea.
