Oscar Shines But Juventus Fightback To Share Points

Oscar Shines But Juventus Fightback To Share PointsThe European Champions started defense of their crown against the Italian champions last night in an exciting contest. Chelsea’s new signing young Oscar announced himself with a brace that helped the blues gain two goal advantage. However, Juventus dominated for most part of the game and eventually earned a deserved draw as their Antonio Conte watched from the stands.
Selecting Oscar over Mata was a bit of surprise considering the importance of the game and the quality of opponents but if there were any doubts that the Brazilian will not settle well in the blues squad then he absolutely blown it all away with a brace against Old Lady.
Edin Hazard provided the assist for Oscar’s first goal who struck from 25 odd yards and Buffon was left helpless as a deflection managed to deceive him and the ball ended in the back of the net. If the first goal needed some luck then the second one was pure quality and class from Oscar. He needed only one touch to set himself up and wrong foot Juve’s defense and the second one to let fly in the top corner leaving Buffon with absolutely no chance to save.
Juventus, having gone two goals behind, responded back immediately as Chelsea’s defense completely switched off in the 38th minute and Vidal punished them with a left foot drive from 20 odd yards to get his side back into the game.
Chelsea could not break Italian side defense in the second half as their number 9 Torres was sort of “absent” for most part of the period without adding anything productive. Juventus continured dominating possession and threatened Chelsea’s goal. Soon after blues star man Oscar made way for Juan Mata, Fabio Quagliarella exploited the carelessness of Mikel and a dreadful effort to play off-side trap by captain John Terry. Marchisio found Quagliarella who made no mistake by calmly equalizing for Juventus.
The blues, already shocked, could have ended up losing the game in the later stages as Quagliarella hit the post with only 4 minutes remaining but to their relief, the game ended in a stalemate. Letting go a 2-goal advantage that too at Stamford Bridge is a shocker start to defend their crown and Chelsea must now step up in this tricky group.

Chelsea are going to struggle with Torres upfront
He is past it. No longer the striker he was in red shirt. sulking all the time. Was he even playing in the game, never an attacking threat and falling down easily whenever he knew hed lose the ball under pressure.
Shame he was one of the best strikers in the world feared by defenders,
Going nowhere now, the system is not made for him at Chelsea, never will be, it has always been about play makers midfielders
Only a striker like Drogba could fit in, or perhaps Lukaku who has the physical poweres to get aerial balls , torres needs space n ball in feet . Even sturridge is better than him
