Why Mark Hughes Must Be Playing Football Manager

Why Mark Hughes Must Be Playing Football ManagerI recently saw someone on twitter compare Mark Hughes’s exploration in the transfer window, to a teenage boy playing Football Manager. In Mark Hughes’s time as QPR’s manager he has brought in many players; including Djibril Cisse, and Bobby Zamora in January. However, this Summer, Hughes has brought in ten high profile players, in the form of Jose Bosingwa, Park Ji-Sung, Julio Cesar, Fabio De Silva, Junior Hoilett, Rob Green, and a few others.
Also, it was announced today that they have secured the services of Estaban Granero from Real Madrid, who was linked with Arsenal last year, and Liverpool more recently. These high profile signings will obviously be on large wages, but these signings, adding to the fact that QPR have managed to offload Joey Barton to Marseille in France, who may think Barton is an up and coming quick, nippy winger for all they know, shows QPR’s intent.
This high number of players coming in has been compared to a kid playing Football Manager, but I think Mark Hughes could be set to make QPR into the next Chelsea. I don’t think this because I think QPR will reach the heights of Chelsea, because they won’t, but I think this because if Mark Hughes doesn’t do well with the good group of players he has this year, it is likely he will be sacked, and the same thing may apply to future QPR managers.

Julio Cesar QPR

Chelsea have had nine managers in the last ten years, mainly because Abramovich wasn’t getting the trophies  he wanted and warranted from all the money he was spending. Tony Fernandes, QPR chairman and owner, may follow in the footsteps of their nearest rival. The fact that Julio Cesar, previous Inter Milan keeper, said after singing for QPR that they would be challenging for the title, either shows the clubs ambition built by Fernandes’ money, or that Julio Cesar isn’t all there mentally.
If what Julio Cesar said is anything to go by, anything less than a mid-table finish for Mark Hughes’ Football Manger side this year could lose him his job, which could be the blueprint for the next few years until QPR find a sort of success to show for the money pumped into the club by the Malaysian board.

Not so Football Manager, you dont really care about finances do you 😉
Mark Hughes is signing budget players but good ones, Granero is by far the best one how much did he cost though? Julio Cesar is on weed big time
