Liverpool Must Not Make Agger Feel Unwanted Like Alonso

Liverpool Must Not Make Agger Feel Unwanted Like AlonsoThey say “no player is bigger than the club” perhaps right, but there are certain the club can hardly replace, especially the Loyal ones. Liverpool fans have been desperate for success since the departure of pass magician Xabi Alonso, still not replaced. For worst, they might be repeating the same mistakes with Daniel Agger, making him feel unwanted when he absolutely loves the club.
It’s a no brainer that loyalty is rare these days in football and players run after money. However, there are few examples who are not motivated by $$$ and to get rid of such players that too with quality is an act of insanity. In 2008, Alonso felt unwanted at Liverpool when he was told about his potential sale that will help in signing other players. The Madrid star claimed:

“If an offer would have come, probably I would have been sold.”
“That’s when I told myself that the situation had changed – from being a very important player to being one of those who can be sold to get funds to sign other players.”

Fair to say that the club is still suffering from the sale of such a top quality player that has left a gap in Liverpool midfield. For now Reds might be treating Daniel Agger in a very similar manner. The Dane is one of the most important players, yet as it appears, Liverpool may consider offers for the defender.  Rodgers statements are a little baffling in this scenario:

Daniel Agger - Martil Skrtel - Liverpool

Interest from clubs like Barcelona and Manchester City can be tempting as they seemingly guarantee success and high wages still Daniel Agger has portrayed that he loves the club and wants to wear that red shirt for Liverpool next season. What he is not sure about is whether the club wants that or not.

“I can’t imagine playing for other clubs in England. But, you never know if the club prefers to sell me.”

May be all is not lost yet but Liverpool need to take a strong stance over Agger’s situation and make sure that the player is not for sale. There are other players that can be sold to strengthen the squad. The reds must not make loyal Agger feel unwanted and must keep him instead of crying all over again losing one of their stars who is absolutely significant for the club.

Liverpool have actually made him feel UNWANTED already, that is clear from his statements yesterday, he might stay for one more season like Alonso did.

If we want to be winners time will tell, i mean you can not chop off your legs and still want to stand, how is it possible for u to strenghten your rivals and you become armless. please lets keep our best legs we will never walk alone, we come not to play.

Although Agger has a well known injury record, he is a solid central defender who also looks dangerous coming forward. He’s been one of my favourite players over the last few seasons. Liverpool must not sell him to another Premier League club and weaken our defence and strenthen a rival’s – it makes no sense. And Agger must not be sold unless there is a player of similar quality to bring in as a replacement.

IF LFC and BR makes Agger feel unwanted , that means they are stupid !!
Agger is the best CB we have right now and do we sell our prized assets ? and find a lesser version replacement like Enrique ?
If this is the policy , then Suarez is also available for sale next time some big clubs come calling ??
LFC used to keep and attract the best players ..whats different now ?>>The Yanks as owners ??

No doubt its the owners who want to sell and make money and not ROdgers – typical YANKS
