It is true that at the start of the season, the 26-year-old was not demonstrating qualitatively enough in order to match the standards of head coach Pulis. Fortunately for both the team and the player, this area of game was improved greatly for him.

The first goal of McClean for the English club came as a reward for his skills, qualities and overall efforts. He managed to outplay Hugo Lloris and attacked the gate of the Spurs. McClean would probably not become a very popular figure among the fans but in case he continues to provide such performance at the pitch, he would undoubtedly become one of the fans’ favourite players.

As already mentioned above, regardless of the fact that it was McClean who made his best performance with West Brom’s outfit so far, the entire team showed excellent form. Such quality of play undoubtedly offers head coach Pulis some hard choices to make when it comes to the squad selection for the club’s fixture with Liverpool.
