I see many reasons to take Konta here . She is in great form winning 6 of her last 8 matches . She playing very good on grass . She is great server and also she is very good on net . Plus she will have huge support of fans here in Birmingham .

On other side Puig don’t like to play on grass very much . She struggled in first round to beat Hradecka who is also not good on grass and won after 2 tiebreaks . That was her first win after 5 straight loses .

Konta was great yesterday beating Rybarikova who is imo stronger opponent than Puig without any troubles with 6-3 6-3 . So if she plays like that today she shouldn’t have any problems to win here .
