Manchester United agreed a professional deal with Angel Gomes last month and the latest reports indicate that he signed a mammoth contract for a teenager.
According to an exclusive report covered by the Sun, the Red Devils splashed out one of the biggest ever contracts on a youth player and agreed a deal worth £17,000-a-week ($23,000-a-week, $1.2million-a-year) to keep the 17-year-old playmaker.
The British source have mentioned that if he continues to perform well then, with bonuses, he could be earning £25,000-a-week.

The teenage starlet was part of the England squad that won the U-17 World Cup last year. In the last campaign,, the youngster scored 12 goals and provided 6 assists in 20 games for the Red Devils (U-18). Mourinho even gave him his senior debut for the team vs the Eagles in May.
In the current campaign, Gomes has played 10 games and directly contributed in 8 goals (5 goals and 3 assists) for the U-18 Man United team.
As per Sun, an Old Trafford source claimed that United splashed a lot of cash to hold on to Gomes.
