Liverpool are seriously interested in hiring the services of Guinean international and Leipzig star Naby Keita this summer.
The 22-year-old midfielder played in his first ever top flight season (last campaign) and proved to be fantastic for the German Bundesliga side.
Recently, senior ESPN writer and Times Columnist Gabriele Marcotti claimed (video ESPN) that as per reports in Germany, Liverpool have an agreement in principle with the player, who is rated around 70 million pounds ($91million).
In addition, this morning, Marcotti once again mentioned (twitter) that as per his understanding, the Reds have agreed salary/terms of contract (in principle) to sign the African star.

Naby is a versatile talent, who can be deployed anywhere in the midfield. He is mainly a creative central midfielder but Leipzig also utilized him in the defensive midfield role when needed.
Keita has been compared to Chelsea superstar N’Golo Kante (BBC Radio via Express), who deservedly won the PFA Player of the Year award for his brilliant performances in the last campaign.
However, stats suggest that the Bundesliga star is more attack minded than the Les Bleus midfielder. In 31 league outings, Keita helped Leipzig qualify for the Champions League by directly contributing in 16 goals (8 goals and 8 assists).
On the other hand, Kante only scored 1 goal and provided 1 assist for the Blues in the Premier League.
