Not Morata – Arsenal Favorites to Agree $64.8million Star Signing

Tottenham and Arsenal are linked with England international and Everton star Ross Barkley and they would need to pay a huge sum to secure his signature.
The 23-year-old attacker’s current contract with the Toffees will expire next year and it looks highly likely that he will be sold this summer. However, as per reports, he is not going to leave for cheap.
According to Daily Mail, Arsenal and Tottenham are leading the chase for Barkley, for whom Everton are demanding a mammoth fee of 50 million pounds ($64.8million).
Ross is a versatile talent, who can be deployed anywhere in the attacking third and he has been one of the key members of the Everton squad under the management of Ronald Koeman. In the current campaign, Barkley has so far featured in 35 league games, scored 5 goals and provided 9 assists.
Arsenal will badly need to reinforce their attacking midfield if stars like Alexis and record signing Ozil depart the club in the summer transfer window.
Ross is without doubt a quality star but is he good enough to replace Sanchez or Mesut? May be not. Moreover, splashing a fee of 50 million pounds to sign a player who is going to be out of contract at the end of next season makes little sense and we can expect Arsene Wenger to refrain from doing so.
Apart from Ozil and Alexis, Arsenal have stars like Oxlade-Chamberlain, Iwobi, Walcott and even Ramsey who can operate in the attacking midfield. In such a scenario, Arsene does not really need big money signings for the department and he must hold on to the above mentioned key players.
The French boss must sign a top out and out center forward to improve his team this summer and they are linked with Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata (via Express).

Oh god no! Why do we need another young player who has one good game in six. He has not got a football brain and makes lots of bad decisions
