Liverpool have only earned a single point from their last two league games and are now 6 points behind high flying Chelsea who have won their last 9 league fixtures.
The Reds must bounce back with a victory against Middlesbrough tomorrow night if they are to seriously compete the Blues for the Premier League title.
As far as the team news is concerned, Emre Can missed the last game against West ham due to a knee injury and he might be rested vs Boro as well. Dejan Lovren was substituted at half time vs the Hammers and he might also be rested tomorrow night.
In the absence of the Croatian international, summer signing Ragnar Klavan will most probably partner Joel Matip in the central defense. Karius has been in poor form and perhaps needs to get away from the limelight for the time being. The German goalie must be replaced by Mignolet.
The Merseysiders face Everton away from home next Monday and Klopp will have one eye on that fixture as well.
Here is Liverpool’s strongest possible 4-3-3 XI vs Boro.

coach sgould stick with karious no matter what the criticicim
Personally, I’d give Karius at least another ten games to find his feet in English football but when we get to two-thirds or three-quarters of the season having gone if he’s still looking awful then he needs to go . . . to be replaced by anybody other than Mignolet. I’m willing the lad to do well but the signs, so far, are not brilliant. Glad Klavan is playing but I’d be glad if we just dropped Lovren and put an industrial skip in the spot he normally occupies.
