• Lucas Orban is back in contention for a starting place after recovering from his injury.

• Andres Iniesta was left out of Barcelona's midweek Champions League game while Thomas Vermaelen suffered a relapse of the injury that has plagued him since his arrival at Camp Nou.
• Valencia have gone seven games at the Mestalla in the league without beating Barcelona. It is their worst run against the Azulgranas in their history.
• Lionel Messi is in scintillating form and has been breaking records every time he has stepped out on to the field this past week. The Argentine will also be fancying himself to again get on the scoresheet. Valencia are one of his preferred opponents as he has netted five goals in his last three games against them.
• It is a tall order, but Valencia must try and contain Barca's forward three of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar. The three strikers have accounted for 83 per cent of Barcelona's goals so if Los Che can stop them, they can stop Barca. But, of course, this is extremely difficult to do.
• Despite their good form, it was not too long ago that Celta Vigo put Barca to the sword while Almeria also gave them a good run for their money just two rounds before. Valencia will also be desperate to get back to winning ways after their surprise defeat against Levante last weekend.
