DONE DEAL – Superstar Agrees Manchester United Move

Louis Van GaalManchester United are in for top quality players in the winter transfer window as they need reinforcements in certain departments.
One department where they really did not need any star signing was that of goalkeeping. United already have the best goalie in the league as their best player David de Gea, on the other hand, they also have a decent back-up in Lindegaard.
However, the Red Devils have gone on and agreed a deal with former Barcelona star, 3 times Champions League winner Victor Valdes.
The Spanish international has been training with the Old Trafford side for quite some time recovering from his injury as free agent.
Liverpool and Arsenal needed him more for sure but baffling that they did not push for him and as per reports Valdes has agreed to sign for Manchester United on a 1.5 year contract.
With De Gea’s future in doubt, perhaps United have made the right move but we shall see how many first team chances can Valdes get in the presence of his young compatriot.

What a mistake? David De gea won’t stay long at United any more.

That’s a big mistake by signing valdes.

Signing victor valdes is not good, it will put de gea future at stake.

Valdes is an insurance policy & mentor, not a threat to DeGea. If Victor wanted a starting job in January, he’d be at Liverpool, Arsenal, or back in Spain. From his side, United is attractive as an opportunity to play his way gradually into shape with no pressure and a coaching staff he knows & trusts. If De Gea signs, Valdes’d likely pick a new club in summer and ask LVG to sell him accordingly. Champions league spots will be known then and he’ll be healthy with a choice of destinations. Maybe LVG & united pick up a few found £ for their efforts.
If David refuses to sign, we have a class keeper to start for a few years while grooming a prospect. Valdes’ presence also keeps prices in check if LVG needed to pursue Krul or Lloris–we won’t be held desperate hostage if DeGea picks a move to Spain. Besides, Valdes, more than a threat to DeGea, can mentor him as a Spaniard & legend in a way that Lingergard certainly can’t as a zero appearance #2–DeGea does need to work on his ball distribution.
