Lampard will be playing in the sky blue of Manchester City when the season starts as the England star will be with Pellegrini’s squad on loan until January.
Mourinho obviously thought that it is time for youngsters to take over at Chelsea and that Lampard is surplus to requirements.
However, the champions think otherwise as they lure Blues legend who can play a key part in the first half of the season.
